Growth capital through funding
Unlock liquidity for innovation and growth.
Many companies miss out on funding because their projects are not even identified internally as eligible for funding or because they do not make full use of the available funding potential. We review your ongoing and completed projects, identify suitable programmes and manage the applications. You bear no financial risk.

Finding funding starts with:
classifying your project correctly
Guided by the principle “Building the Champions of today and tomorrow”, CTG Consulting and GrantLift combine expertise in transformation and funding. Together, we systematically unlock regional, national and European funding potential, as well as the research tax allowance.
Funding entitlements rarely go unused for formal reasons. More often, the relevant activities and starting points are never recognised: what the law defines as research and development is called design engineering, process optimisation or a software project within a company. In larger organisations, responsibility is also spread across many people. Finance, tax, IT, production and R&D each see only part of the picture; no one sees it all. This is exactly where we come in: we bring these perspectives together and identify projects that are eligible for funding before entitlements expire.

We know our clients’ strategic priorities, transformation programmes and innovation projects. This enables us to identify directly which parts of your projects are eligible for funding and ensure that you realise your full funding potential.
GrantLift translates these initiatives into projects eligible for funding, providing support and taking responsibility for professional applications and documentation, from programme selection to the funding decision.

the amounts involved
The research tax allowance in figures
We assess the full funding potential of your project, not just individual programmes. We consider regional, national and European funding together with the research tax allowance. As each cost item can only receive funding once, we clarify in advance which combination offers you the greatest benefit.
The research tax allowance can be claimed retrospectively for up to four years. Other funding programmes, however, are generally no longer available once a project has started. That is why we address funding before the project starts, not afterwards.

Projects eligible for funding usually go by different names within companies
From assessment to payment
We do the work. On your side, we mainly need the people who know what work has been done.
Assess
We review your ongoing and completed projects and tell you whether an application is worthwhile and what level of funding you could expect.
Analyse
Reviewing projects and cost categories, defining the components eligible for funding and projecting amounts for each financial year.
Apply
Project description, submission and all communication with the relevant authorities through to the decision.
Administer
Funding drawdowns, evidence of costs, interim and final expenditure reports, and communication with the funding authorities through to payment.
Repeat
Set up ongoing documentation so subsequent years can be handled without reconstructing records.

The tangible benefits of working together
More funding potential
Previously overlooked projects and retrospective entitlements are also identified. In practice, looking back often reveals the largest single item.
End-to-end support
From assessing potential and submitting the application to payment. You have one point of contact, rather than multiple interfaces.
Minimal internal effort
A coordinated team and a central point of contact. Your contribution is a few meetings, not writing applications.
Minimised cost risk
We work entirely on a success-fee basis. If the assessment identifies no potential, you incur no costs.
Frequently asked questions
Which companies can receive funding?
+
In principle, any company liable for tax in Germany, regardless of legal form, size or industry. An in-house research department is not a prerequisite. What matters is that the projects involved developing something with a technically uncertain outcome.
How can we tell whether our projects qualify?
+
That is exactly what the free funding assessment is for. We review and classify your projects before any work is required. Typical candidates include the development of new processes, design engineering, prototype development and software projects involving technical uncertainty. Simply adapting existing solutions does not qualify.
How much work will this involve for us?
+
Two to three meetings with the people responsible for the technical aspects during the analysis phase. We handle the project description, cost preparation and communication with the relevant bodies.
What does the support cost?
+
The funding assessment is free and no-obligation. Subsequent support is provided entirely on a success-fee basis: a fee is only payable if funding is actually secured. We discuss the terms transparently during the introductory call.
We already receive project funding. Is anything else possible?
+
Generally, yes. The same expenditure cannot receive funding twice, but the project as a whole can run in parallel. The portion not funded elsewhere remains eligible. We establish this distinction during the analysis.
Funding finances the project.
Your team needs the skills to deliver it.
Both are funding routes, but they target different areas: the research tax allowance and funding programmes target your projects, while the Qualification Opportunities Act (QCG) targets your employees. Companies receiving funding for a development project can often also receive funding to upskill the people working on it. That is why our funding assessment covers both sides, not just the one you came to us about.
Funding and the research allowance
Funds the project: development, investment, innovation. Unlocks liquidity from projects you are undertaking anyway.
Funded training
Funds skills: the people who drive the project. Up to 100% of course fees, depending on company size.
