Digital Leaders Meetup in Hamburg: Artificial Intelligence as a Pioneer of New Business Models

In March, another Digital Leaders Meetup took place in Hamburg – this time in the impressive setting of the 1KOMMA5° showroom at Ballindamm, overlooking the Alster in the evening. The hosts of the evening were Marcus Worbs and our colleague Sascha Bilen, who invited guests to an exciting evening on the topic of artificial intelligence under the title “AI as a Game Changer for Business Model Reinvention”.

A highlight of the evening was the keynote “The Unicorn’s Masterplan: AI and digitalisation as game changers in the energy industry” by Sophia Rödiger. She presented how 1KOMMA5° is revolutionising a traditionally hardware-oriented industry with an innovative software platform and the targeted use of artificial intelligence. The company enables its customers, on both the buyer and the seller side, to benefit from price fluctuations on the electricity exchange – an impressive example of successfully dealing with the Innovator’s Dilemma faced by established providers.

In addition to the keynote, the hosts presented new developments in the field of AI agents under the title “Digital Perspectives”. The focus was on concrete application scenarios showing how companies can already begin today to fundamentally rethink their business model through intelligent, autonomous systems. The speakers emphasised that although we are still at the beginning of this development, far-reaching opportunities for innovation and growth can be expected within the next one to two years.
