AI Adoption in Mid-Sized Companies

With the three-part online series “AI Adoption in Mid-Sized Companies” (German: „KI-Adoption im Mittelstand“), CTG Consulting and Heuristiq AI Studio address a question that is currently top of mind for managing directors and executives in mid-sized companies: Copilot, ChatGPT and the like have been rolled out – yet in many organisations, little has noticeably changed. In compact 45-minute lunchtime sessions, Peter Kramer and Simon Kozlik (Heuristiq AI Studio) get to the bottom of the gap between AI adoption and measurable business results.
What makes the series stand out is its dual perspective: Simon Kozlik comes from data, AI and technical implementation, Peter Kramer from business transformation and scaling. Where AI projects stall, the two often see very different causes – and it is precisely this friction that makes the dialogue so insightful. Instead of polished theoretical talks, the focus is on an honest assessment: is your organisation held back more by technology or by organisation?
The series centres on the step from isolated AI use to real value creation. As long as AI merely speeds up individual tasks, the time saved often evaporates at the next hand-over between departments – and barely shows up in the P&L. The speakers show where AI needs to be applied along the value stream to have an impact on results, and how this effect can be measured.
The sessions at a glance:
- Session 1 – “Two Years of AI. What Has Really Worked?” (Tuesday, 13 October 2026, 1:00–1:45 pm CET): An honest review after two years of AI adoption in mid-sized companies – what works, what doesn’t, and why.
- Session 2 – AI in the Value Stream (Thursday, 22 October 2026, 1:00–1:45 pm CET): Why time savings from AI rarely reach the bottom line, and how companies can embed AI effectively along the value stream.
- Session 3 – “Sovereign AI. Choosing, Routing and Steering AI Models.” (Thursday, 5 November 2026, 11:30 am–12:15 pm CET): One AI model, one provider, no plan B – that is the reality in many companies, often without anyone ever consciously deciding on it. The speakers show how companies can deliberately choose, route and steer AI models, stay independent and, according to their sample calculation, save up to 90 per cent of model costs.
All sessions take place online in a 45-minute format; participation is free of charge.
Benefits for participants:
Participants benefit from a compact format that brings strategic perspective and hands-on technical practice together on an equal footing. In the subsequent live Q&A, questions from the audience are addressed directly – providing concrete input for their own AI initiatives without blocking an entire working day.
The webinar series “AI Adoption in Mid-Sized Companies” thus not only creates space for an open discussion about the state of AI adoption, but also provides practical guidance on how investments in AI can translate measurably into business results.
